The MFS1S50-H015E is built around the InfiniBand HDR signaling layer (4 lanes × 50Gb/s PAM4 on the host side, split into 2x 2 lanes for the two HDR100 endpoints). It is the canonical interconnect for doubling switch port density: a single HDR switch port feeds two HDR100-capable endpoints, reducing per-port cost on aggregation switches such as the Quantum QM8700 / QM8790 series. Compatibility & Hard Constraints
Compatible with NVIDIA Quantum HDR switches (QM8700, QM8790) on the 200Gb/s host side and with HDR100-capable ConnectX-6 / ConnectX-6 VPI adapters on the two 100Gb/s endpoints. The switch port that originates the splitter must be configured for HDR (200Gb/s); both endpoints will operate as HDR100 InfiniBand only. Not validated for native 200GbE Ethernet on the splitter branches, the H50-series splitters are intended for InfiniBand HDR/HDR100 fabrics. Not compatible with EDR-only ConnectX-5 InfiniBand switches without HDR licensing. Fixed 15m length; the split point is integral to the assembly and cannot be relocated.
