NVIDIA Mellanox MFA7U10-H050 HDR Active Optical Splitter Cable, OSFP to 2×QSFP56, 400Gb/s to 2×200Gb/s, 50m LSZH: This is a 50-meter active optical splitter cable (AOC) for InfiniBand HDR fabrics. The OSFP twin-port source aggregates 400Gb/s and breaks out to two QSFP56 destinations, each carrying full HDR 200Gb/s. NVIDIA P/N 980-9I11V-00H050. It is not a passive copper DAC, not a 1:1 point-to-point AOC, and not a 4-way splitter. Condition: New.

Engineering Context: The OSFP source carries 400Gb/s aggregate (2×HDR 200Gb/s lanes), which break out to two independent QSFP56 ports each operating at full HDR 200Gb/s. At 50 meters, copper DAC is not viable for HDR signaling — active optical fiber preserves signal integrity end-to-end. The cable is bus-powered from OSFP and QSFP56 host ports and uses a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) jacket for data center fire-safety compliance.

Deployment & Use Cases: Connecting an NVIDIA Quantum HDR switch OSFP twin-port to two ConnectX-6 HDR adapters across longer rack rows; cross-row 200Gb/s fan-out where 15m or 30m is insufficient; AI training fabrics where one switch port serves two GPU servers at full 200Gb/s; storage backbones for parallel filesystems over IB HDR.
