The MFA7A50-C030 carries 4×25Gb/s NRZ over multi-mode fiber from the QSFP28 head, then splits the lanes into four independent SFP28 25GbE legs at the far end. At 30 meters, this hybrid AOC bridges spans where passive 25G/100G copper cannot reach (passive DACs typically max around 5m at 25/100G). The integrated assembly removes the need for a separate fiber patch panel for breakout. The LSZH jacket meets data center fire codes that prohibit halogenated cable insulation. Requires the QSFP28 port to be set to breakout mode in switch CLI. Not compatible with InfiniBand EDR/HDR — this is an Ethernet-only assembly, and SFP28 connectors on the legs do not negotiate IB. Not a 4×10GbE or 4×40GbE breakout. Fixed 30m length; cannot be shortened or re-terminated.
