Compatibility & Constraints

Requires the QSFP28 switch port to be configured for 4x25G breakout mode; not all switches or firmware revisions support fan-out on every port. SFP28 legs must terminate at 25GbE-capable adapters; a 25GbE leg cannot be link-trained at 100GbE. Not compatible with 40GbE QSFP+ to 4x10GbE SFP+ scenarios — that is a different part. This is a copper passive cable; reach beyond 1.5m requires an AOC breakout assembly. Fixed 1.5m length.
