Compatibility & Constraints

Requires a standard PCIe Gen3 x16 or Gen4 x16 (or wider) edge slot in a full-height server chassis. PTP Grandmaster operation requires a stable GNSS antenna feed and host driver support for the time-sync subsystem. The on-board GNSS input uses the dedicated coaxial header on the card; antenna routing is the deployment's responsibility. This SKU does NOT include crypto offload (no IPsec/TLS in-line); deployments needing both crypto and time-sync must select a different SKU. The PTP profile (G.8275.1, default profile, etc.) must be selected via host configuration; the card hardware supports common profiles via firmware.
