The NVIDIA Mellanox® MSN3700-VS2RC is a refurbished 1U 200GbE Open Ethernet leaf/spine switch built on the Spectrum-2 ASIC. Each QSFP56 cage supports 4×50G PAM4 lanes, with breakout to 2×100G or 4×50G/8×25G subject to OS configuration. Cut-through latency on Spectrum-2 is in the ~300 ns range port-to-port. Airflow is C2P (Connector-to-Power, back-to-front); the unit must be deployed in a rack matching this airflow direction.

Compatibility and constraints. The MSN3700-VS2RC interoperates with NVIDIA Mellanox QSFP56 200GbE optics, AOCs, and DACs, and is qualified end-to-end with ConnectX-5, ConnectX-6, and ConnectX-6 Dx adapters. Breakout cabling for 2×100G or 4×50G is supported but requires a compatible breakout cable and OS-side port splitting. Airflow is fixed at C2P — do not deploy in a rack with the opposite airflow polarity, as thermal protection will throttle or shut down the unit. Ships with Cumulus Linux preinstalled.
