Engineering Context
The MSN4600-CS2F delivers 6.4 Tb/s of switching capacity and a 4.7 Bpps forwarding rate. The Spectrum-3 ASIC enables flexible per-port speeds: each QSFP28 port can be configured as 1x100GbE, 1x50GbE, 1x40GbE, 2x50GbE, or broken out to 4x25GbE/4x10GbE. NVIDIA Onyx provides a CLI-driven NOS with mature L2/L3, MLAG and EVPN feature sets that has been used in Mellanox/NVIDIA-managed enterprise fabrics for years. Airflow is P2C (port-to-power, front-to-back). Switching latency is in the sub-microsecond range typical of Spectrum-3 cut-through forwarding.
