InfiniBand only — does NOT support Ethernet. Router, not switch — the MSB7880 routes between InfiniBand subnets. For a standard EDR leaf switch (single subnet), use MSB7890-ES2F/ES2R. EDR only (100 Gb/s) — not upgradeable to HDR or NDR. For HDR routing, use Quantum-based routers. C2P airflow (front-to-back) — for P2C (back-to-front), use MSB7880-ES2F. Predecessor: Switch-IB router. Successor: Quantum (HDR) router. QSFP28 ports compatible with EDR InfiniBand cables; FDR cables negotiate down to FDR speed.
