The MSB7800-ES2R delivers 7.2 Tb/s aggregate bidirectional bandwidth and supports an embedded Subnet Manager for fabrics up to 2,000 nodes. Each QSFP28 port runs 4 lanes of 25Gb/s NRZ for 100Gb/s EDR. Hardware-accelerated Adaptive Routing and SHARP (Scalable Hierarchical Aggregation and Reduction Protocol) are provided by the Switch-IB 2 silicon. Cut-through latency is sub-90ns port-to-port. Management interfaces include 1x RJ45 console, 1x USB, and 1x management Ethernet port. 1+1 redundant hot-swap PSUs and N+1 redundant hot-swap fans are standard.

Embedded SM scales to ~2,000 nodes; larger fabrics require a dedicated host-based subnet manager. InfiniBand-only — does not function as an Ethernet switch.
