🔧 Installation & Thermal Management

  • Slack Management: Managing 20 meters of cable requires discipline. Use "Figure-8" coiling for excess length to neutralize twist stress on the fiber cores. Never coil tightly (diameter < 20cm).
  • Bend Radius: The fiber jacket protects delicate glass strands. Maintain a minimum bend radius of 35mm. Use wide velcro straps in cable trays and avoid over-tightening.
  • Protocol Configuration: VPI cables require the host port protocol (InfiniBand or Ethernet) to be explicitly set or auto-negotiated correctly to establish a link.
