PCIe Gen4 x16 Required: Physical x16 slot required for full bandwidth. PCIe 3.0 compatible at reduced bandwidth. Single-Port: For dual-port 200GbE, use MBF2M516A series. DOCA SDK Required: Arm-side offload applications (OVS, NVMe-oF, firewall) require NVIDIA DOCA. Standard NIC passthrough mode works without DOCA. Secure Boot: Firmware must be signed and validated. Custom unsigned firmware cannot be loaded. Predecessor: BlueField-1. Successor: BlueField-3 (ConnectX-7 based, 400GbE).
