The NVIDIA Mellanox MSX1024B-1BFS is a 1U rackmount Ethernet switch in the enterprise Ethernet switching category. Based on the SwitchX-2 ASIC, it provides 48 SFP+ ports at 10GbE and 12 QSFP+ uplink ports at 40GbE. This is the short-depth, single AC PSU, P2C airflow variant with MLNX-OS management. This is an Ethernet-only switch — it does NOT support InfiniBand. Condition: New.
Engineering Context
The 48 SFP+ ports deliver 10GbE server connectivity while the 12 QSFP+ ports provide 40GbE uplinks, for a total switching capacity of 960 Gb/s (48x10G + 12x40G). The SwitchX-2 ASIC delivers non-blocking, cut-through switching with sub-microsecond latency. MLNX-OS supports L2/L3 switching, MLAG, VXLAN, sFlow, SNMP v1/v2/v3, OpenFlow 1.0/1.3, and CLI/web management. The short-depth chassis (approximately 356 mm) is designed for space-constrained environments. Single AC PSU — no N+1 power redundancy on this variant.

Ethernet only — SwitchX-2 does NOT support InfiniBand. Single PSU — no power redundancy. If the PSU fails, the switch goes offline. For redundant power, use dual-PSU variants (MSX1400-BS2F2). P2C airflow (back-to-front) — verify rack cooling compatibility. SFP+ ports support 10GbE maximum; SFP28 25GbE optics will NOT operate at 25GbE. QSFP+ ports support 40GbE maximum; not compatible with QSFP28/QSFP-DD for higher speeds. Short-depth chassis — verify rack depth clearance.
