Engineering Context
The Spectrum ASIC delivers 6.4Tb/s of non-blocking switching with full L2/L3 line rate at all packet sizes including 64-byte. The MSN2700-CB2F supports 1/10/25/40/50/100GbE and each QSFP28 port is breakable into 4×25GbE or 2×50GbE — yielding up to 128×25GbE logical ports. Latency is approximately 300ns port-to-port. The unit ships with two hot-swappable redundant AC power supplies and four hot-swappable fan modules in P2C (power-to-connector) airflow direction — cool air enters from the PSU side and exits through the port side. The on-board x86 CPU runs the management plane independently of the data plane.
