Compared to passive DAC, ACC tolerates signal loss inherent in copper at these bit rates while preserving the deterministic latency advantage of copper over optics. Cable orientation is RHS to RHS, meaning both connector latches face the right side of the rack-facing chassis.

Both ends require ports that physically accept RHS connector orientation. Not compatible with QSFP-DD, QSFP56, or earlier QSFP receptacles without an approved mechanical adapter. Active copper requires the host port to provide the standard OSFP power budget for the on-cable retimers; ports configured strictly for passive-only operation will not function. Fixed 1m length and fixed 8-lane configuration; does not support breakout.
