The MFS4R12CB-100 uses 850nm VCSEL optics over OM3 multi-mode fiber to extend QSFP+ reach beyond passive copper limits. The 100-meter length is at the upper end of OM3 reach for 4x10G NRZ signaling, suitable for cross-row and inter-room connectivity in larger data halls. The active assembly provides full electrical isolation between endpoints and immunity to electromagnetic interference. Maximum bit error rate (BER) is rated at less than 1E-12.

Compatible with Mellanox SX6000 series InfiniBand switches and ConnectX-3 / ConnectX-3 Pro QSFP+ adapters in QDR/FDR10 mode. Compatible with 10/40GbE Ethernet ports on SwitchX-2 and earlier Mellanox QSFP+ switches. Not compatible with FDR (56Gb/s) signaling — FDR10 only at the InfiniBand layer. Not compatible with QSFP28 100GbE ports without negotiated downshift, which is not supported on this cable. This is a direct QSFP+ to QSFP+ cable; does not support 4x10G breakout. Fixed 100m length.
