Compatibility & Hard Constraints
The 90Y3489 IB6132 adapter is designed exclusively for Lenovo Flex System blade chassis and is compatible with Flex System x220, x240, and x240 M5 compute nodes. It is NOT compatible with Lenovo ThinkSystem rack-mount servers, standalone tower servers, or any non-Flex System chassis. The adapter requires one or two Flex System IB6131 InfiniBand Switches installed in the corresponding chassis I/O bays. To operate at full FDR speeds (56Gb/s), the IB6131 switch requires the FDR Upgrade license (part number 90Y3462). Without this license, the adapter operates at QDR speeds (40Gb/s).
