Compatibility & Hard Constraints

The Micron 9100 MAX MTFDHAL2T4MCF-BAN1ZABYYES requires a U.2 NVMe-capable drive bay with SFF-8639 connector. It does NOT work in SATA backplanes, SAS backplanes, or M.2 slots. The 2.5-inch variant has a 15mm z-height, which does NOT fit standard 7mm 2.5-inch bays. The BAN1ZABYYES firmware variant may differ from the standard 1AN1ZABYY in OEM qualification — verify against your server vendor’s hardware compatibility list before deployment.
