Compatibility & Hard Constraints

OSFP Ports Only: Both ends are OSFP connectors. Not compatible with QSFP-DD, QSFP28, QSFP56, or SFP ports. OSFP and QSFP-DD are physically different form factors and are not interchangeable without adapters. Short Distance Only: 1.4m is the cable length. For 400Gb/s connections beyond approximately 2 meters, active optical cables or transceivers with fiber are required. Passive Copper: Signal quality degrades with distance at 400Gb/s PAM4. 1.4m is within the passive copper specification.
